Step-by-step explanation:

g(f(-5)) is a function inside another function

so lets figure the inner function first

f(x)=|2x+9|

f(-5)=|2(-5)+9|

=|-1|

=1

the |-1| means that its an absolute value

just get rid of the negative sign whenever u see the | | thingy

so

f(-5)=1

therefore

g(f(-5))=g(1)

and, it should be another function( g(x)=... ), otherwise u wont be able to get an actual value

probably u missed it in your book or something?
