Hydrolysis of Acetal is shown below, this reaction is carried out in acidic medium. In this reaction Hemiacetal is formed after partial hydrolysis and on completion of reaction hemiacetal is converted into Aldehyde. Also, two moles of Alcohol is produced per molecule of acetal.
