Here we have (9^7)/(9^9) since we have like bases we can simply “move” the 9^9 up top and that cancels to 9^-2=1/81 by property of exponents.
Moving the 9^9 term up to the numerator is then essentially giving us the equation 9^7*9^-9 which then we just add the exponents and get 9^-2 which equals 1/9^2=1/81
So 1/81 is the answer.
