We have been given the equation

[tex]f(x) = 6x^2 +x-12[/tex]

The degree of the given polynomial is 2.

Hence, the function is quadratic.

The term with exponent 2 on x is called the quadratic term. The term with exponent  1 on x is called linear and the term without any variable is a constant term.

Therefore, we have

Quadratic term = [tex]6x^2[/tex]

Linear term = [tex]x[/tex]

Constant term =[tex]-12[/tex]
