The infinitive noun is when you use the infinitive form of a verb instead of a noun. An example of this would be using it as a subject.

"To work is to earn". Both "to work" and "to earn" are infinitive nouns. "To work" is a subject that takes on the role of a noun, while "to earn" is an object who also takes on the role of a noun.
