Divide the rent by the total income to equal % of the rent.

=$600/$3000
=0.20

To get the percent multiply decimal by 100:

=0.20 x 100
=20%

$600 is 20% of her $3000 income.

Check:
=$3000 * 20%= $600

Hope this helps! :)
