5/2 + (-2/3) is the same as 5/2 - 2/3

So let's make the denominators the same:

3(5/2)   -->  15/6
2(-2/3)  -->  -4/6

15/6 - 4/6= 11/6

Answer:
11/6

Hope this helps.
