since u already have the x in terms of y, u just have to plug in

⇒ 6(5 - 3y) + 5y = 16
     30 - 18y + 5y = 16
     30 - 13y = 16
     14 = 13y
     ([tex] \frac{14}{13} [/tex]) = y
