The Supernatural elements of the play are very effective and help the play a lot to portray evil, sin and wrongdoing. Back in the day, people believed in witches, so it was very scary for them to see the play. That is probably why Shakespeare wrote it, so that he would unnerve people. Thus, resulting in more business.
