A can is a cylinder so you are trying to find the volume of a cylinder. So you would use v=π(r^2)h. Since the width is 8cm that would be the diameter of the can so the radius would be 4 BC Diameter is 2*radius. So now you have the radius and height which is 12. Now all you have to do it plug into the formula. V=π*(4)^2*12= 192π≈603.186 cm ^3. Hope that helps :)
