The perimeter of an equilateral triangle is 63 inches. If the length of each side is (4x-3), find the value of x.

You divide 63 by 3, because it is equilateral. You get each side to be 21 inches. You plug it into the formula as 4x-3=21
Add 3 to both sides and get 4x=24
Divide by 4 and get x=6
