They duplicate during Interphase (more specifically During S phase)! :)

General short answer for remembering Mitosis:

Prophase=chromosomes condense and attach.

Metaphase=chromosome Align at opposite ends of the cell.

Anaphase= chromosomes are are being split apart.

Telophase= chromosome relax are are fully separated. :)
