First, we must put that equation into slope form.

3x-4y=6 >> -4y= -3x+6 >> y= 3/4x-3/2

Parallel lines share the same slope, so we know that the new equation must at least look like y= 3/4x+b. However, since we must find b, we need to plug in (2,6) for the x and y coordinates to solve.

6= 3/4(2) + b
6= 6/4 + b
4.5 = b

We plug this b value into y=3/4x+b, therefore making the final new equation y= 3/4x + 4.5
