The significance to Muslims or Islam is Abraham, David, Solomon, Jesus, And Muhammad. I know this cause i am a Muslim.

One of the oldest cities in the world, Jerusalem was built as a place of holiness and worship for the jews. It was their sanctuary, and some jews went as far as to consider it paradise and the journey to Jerusalem was one of the holiest actions a jew could take part in.
