The number of enslaved people, also known as slaves, grew quickly between 1790 and 1810 because many Americans and foreign peoples would go to Africa and would kidnap many people from different tribes, and would sell them to the people of the Americas. Slaves were used as a helping hand that didn't get paid, so many people liked them because of that.
