1 3/4 + 1/20? I've tried but it keeps giving me 1 4/5 but that isn't on my test and I don't know what to do.....

4/4 + 3/4 +1/20

"multiply" 4/4 and 3/4 by 5 so that the denominators are the same:

20/20+15/20+1/20

= 36/20

= 1 6/20

= 1 3/15

= 1 1/5
