The circulatory system transports blood around the whole of the body. This works in a circle: starting from the heart, oxygen depleted blood is pumped through the heart into the lungs(respiratory system) to pick up oxygen and relieve carbon dioxide, from there the heart pumps it around the body and the process repeats.
