Why do you think it is important that biologists have a good understanding of chemistry?

Well you see Chemistry a lot when you talk about cellular activity and processes. Cells take in compounds of elements on the smallest scale to keep the cell running. This way a biologist knows what exactly is going on in the cell to keep it alive.
