The Squirrel has spent his life of servitude making connections with the lion's friends and their servants, he learned to make plans to serve his lion master well so as to not be eaten by the lion in frustration. With his reward for hard work in hand, the squirrel called up some of the other lions servants; a cormorant, a badger and old tortoise, to meet him at his stash-house under the old oak tree in the grove.
