Firstly, you want to get 4x alone, so to do this, you add 2 to both sides, as you always do the opposite operation.
This then becomes
4x=92
To get x alone, you then divide both sides by 4.
92/4=23
Therefore, x= 23

Add +2 to each side

[tex]4x-2+2=90+2[/tex]
