When George Washington was elected president in 1789, he had been struggling with his teeth issues. During this time, he only had one natural tooth remaining, and he wore a nearly full set of dentures to fill in the gaps. It was a dentist named John Greenwood who constructed his dentures. Hope this answer helps.
