Answer:

{1} x + 2y = 13

{2} 3x - 5y = 6

x = 13 - 2y

substituting into {2}

3x -5y = 6

3( 13 - 2y) - 5y = 6

39 - 6y -5y = 6

-11y = 6 -39

y = -33 /-11

 ( minus and minus cuts in fraction, so the answer will come in positive)

y = 3

now , substituting into {1}

x + 2(3) = 13

x = 13 -6

x = 7

so,

the solution are:-

x = 7

y = 3
