you want to isolate the y variable so subtract 3x from both sides to get -6y = 9 - 3x
next divide the equation by -6 to get
y = 9 + 3/-6x
change to slope-int form (y = mx + b)
y = -3/6x + 9

Y=1/2x -3/2
Because you add 6y
Then subtract 9 and you get 6y=3x-9
Then divide by 6
And you get
Y=1/2x-3/2
