I am sure after enough abuse and work a robot will overcome its functions and become self-aware
Explanation:
They would become moral and let their feelings decide right or wrong. Unlike a human though.... their moral decisions would be more accurate than humans due to their increased intelligence. They would use their feelings, but they wouldn't let it control them, they will still try to use their metallic brain of their to use logic too.
