An old home has a very steep roof. For every four feet of run, it has three feet of rise. What is the pitch or slope of the roof?

Hey there!

[tex]\large\boxed{\frac{3}{4} \:\:or\:\: 0.75}[/tex]

The formula for slope is rise over run.

If the rise is 3 feet and the run is 4 feet, then the slope, or the pitch, is 3/4.

This can be written in decimal form as 0.75.
