Both the domain and range are all real numbers (-inf, inf).

You can plug in any number to this equation, and it will still be defined for all points. Likewise, your range can be any number with the correct input, so the domain is also all real numbers.

We can write this as lR (r with two legs on the left side), or simply (-inf, inf) for both, which means that the domain and range go from negative infinity to positive infinity.
