There are several genetically modified species of plants that contain special proteins sequences in their genome to withstand freezing temperature. These have been developed by studying the CRG's (Cold Regulating Genes) in mustard plants living at freezing temperature. These proteins sequences are mostly similar in all protiens as studied in their genome and work like anti-Heat Shock proteins. All of these actions against cold are regulated by a hormone named Vernaline (A Type Of Gibberalins)
