The volume of the cylinder is defined (as usual) as the base area times the height. The base is a circle, so the base area is [tex]\pi r^2[/tex]

So, the volume is

[tex]h\pi r^2 = 15\cdot \pi \cdot 36 = 540\pi[/tex]
