f(3):

f(3) = 6(3) - 4

f(3) = 14

f(-5):

f(-5) = 6(-5) - 4

f(-5) = -34

f(8):

f(8) = 6(8) - 4

f(8) = 44

f(-9):

f(-9) = 6(-9) - 4

f(-9) = -58
