Time to do algebra. I dislike algebra.

Step ONE: Transfer 16 to other side!!

You now have: 3x^2=147.

Step TWO: Divide by 3 on both sides!!

You now have: x^2= 49

Step THREE: Square root on both sides(Get rid of the square)!!

You now have... SEVEN!!

Hope this helps!!

The solution is 7.

Solutions

1) Add 16 to both sides

3x²=131+16

2) Simplify 131+16 to 147

3x²=147

3)
Divide both sides by 3

x²=147 ÷ 3

4) Simplify 147 ÷ 3 to 49

x²=49

5) Take the square root of both sides

x=√49

Simplify

x = 7
