  • 500 grams = 500 grams * [1 kg/1000 grams] = 0.5 kg
  • h = 2 meters
  • g = 9.81

Formula

PE = m*g*h

Solution

PE = 0.5 * 9.81 * 2

PE = 9.81 Joules
