When solving the equation such as 2/3 x = 4/5 , why would you multiply both sides of the equation by the reciprocal of ?

2/3 x = 4/5

multiply both side by 3/2  it gets x alone

2/3 * 3/2 = 1

2/3 x * 3/2 = 4/5 * 3/2

x = 12/10

x =6/5

x = 1 1/5
