Hey there!!

First step we will need to take is to solve the distributive property.

We will solve 3 ( c - 5 )

= 3c - 15

The total equation :

3c - 15 = 7c + c

Combine the like term on the right side of the equation :

3c - 15 = 8c

Subtract 3c on both sides

-15 = 5c

Divide by 5 on both sides

-3 = c

The value of c is equal to -3
