Mrs. Epps buys 500 bags of balloons for the high school prom for $250. What is the cost per bag?

the answer is 0.5 because you have to divide to get per bag and you do  250÷500 and you get 0.5 to check your answer do 0.5×500 and you get 250 so the  answer is 5 cents if you have to do it in money

The solution is $.50. This problem can be solved using the following proportion:

250 /500  =  x/ 1
