2x+7 is the missing factor since 2x*x is 2x^2 and 7 * 1 is 7 and 7+2 = 9

To find the missing factor
[tex] {2x}^{2} + 9x +7 \\ by \: cross \: method \\ (x + 1)(7x + 2)[/tex]
thus the answer is (7x+2)
