Assuming x = 4, replace each x in the equation with 4:

[tex]4(4)^{2} - 3(4) + 3[/tex]

Solve each term in parentheses:

[tex]4(4)^{2}[/tex]
[tex]4^{2} = 16[/tex]
[tex]4 \times 16 = 64[/tex]

[tex]-3(4)[/tex]
[tex]-3 \times 4 = -12[/tex]

Your equation should now look like this:
