Hi there! The answer is 6.

In order to evaluate the expression |4b - 4| + 3b for b = -2 we must plug in b= -2 into the expression.

[tex] |4 \times - 2 - 4| + 3 \times - 2 = [/tex]
Use PEMDAS so multiply first.

[tex] | - 8 - 4| - 6 = [/tex]
Add.

[tex] | - 12| - 6 = [/tex]
Work out the absolute value. The absolute value stripes make everything between those stripes positive.

[tex]12 - 6 = [/tex]
Subtract

[tex] 6[/tex]
Therefore, the answer is 6.
~ Hope this helps you!
