a + a / (a - 1)

= a(a - 1) + a
-----------------
(a - 1)

= a^2 - a + a
---------------
a - 1

= a^2
-------- Answer
a - 1

When a = 0.1 it = (0.1)^1 / 0.1 - 1 = -0.0111 or -1/90 as a fraction
